“The Presidents reaffirmed that the activities of the coastal states in the Caspian Sea will be carried out on the basis of the following principles: ... the absence of armed forces in the Caspian Sea that do not belong to the coastal states,” the communiqué says.
The presidents also agreed to use the Caspian Sea for peaceful purposes.
