Deputy Foreign Minister Ryabkov spoke about NATO plans to call Russia a threat in his strategy

“A new strategic concept will be adopted, where Russia is going to be called a threat to the alliance – this has nothing to do with real life,” RIA Novosti quotes Ryabkov. 

He added that it is NATO that poses a threat to Russia.

He also stated that Russia would do everything to ensure that its security and the security of its allies was ensured "under any conditions, regardless of any expansionary waves."

The Deputy Foreign Minister noted that Moscow condemns the irresponsible course of NATO that destroys European architecture.

Earlier, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that at the summit of the North Atlantic Alliance in Madrid, Russia will be declared one of the significant threats to collective security.
