In Myanmar, where the turmoil continues after the coup d'etat, a special envoy of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, which mediates dialogue between the military and democrats, will visit Myanmar from the 29th.

On this second visit, it will be interesting to see if we can meet with the pro-democracy forces that are in conflict with the military.

Cambodia's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Prak Sokong, who serves as a special envoy of ASEAN to mediate dialogue between the military and all powers such as democrats in Myanmar, will visit Myanmar from the 29th to the 3rd of next month.

Special Envoy Prak Sokong visited Myanmar for the first time in March, but was unable to meet with the pro-democracy forces who resisted the military at this time.

During this visit, it will be interesting to see if Special Envoy Prak Sokong will be able to meet with the pro-democracy forces and find clues for a dialogue between the difficult army and the pro-democracy forces.

Prior to the visit, Special Envoy Prak Sukong expressed deep concern to the military over the imprisonment of Aung San Suu Kyi in prison by the army in power, and to realize national reconciliation. He has revealed that he has asked Suu Kyi to return to his original house arrest.
