Seven years have passed since IS terrorists struck several targets in the French capital Paris in an act that shocked the world.

In September last year, the gigantic trial began against 20 men who in various ways are suspected of having helped to plan and carry out the terrorist attack on November 13, 2015. All defendants risk long prison sentences.

Shortly after 8 pm on Wednesday, the French court announced that all but one were convicted on all counts.

The main suspect is the 32-year-old French citizen Salah Abdeslam, who is believed to be the only survivor of those who were present and took part in the attacks themselves.

He risks life imprisonment without the possibility of conditional release.

Another accused is the Swedish citizen Osama Krayem, whose fingerprints were found in the apartment where the Paris bombs were made.

The prosecution is demanding a life sentence for Krayem.

Several attacks

130 people lost their lives during the terrorist attack.

It started with an attack outside the Stade de France football stadium where France met Germany in a training match.

Shortly afterwards, the perpetrators opened fire outside several bars in Paris.

The bloodiest attack took place in the Bataclan concert hall, where three terrorists opened fire with automatic weapons and killed 90 people.
