“The next political consultations between our country and Sweden will be held in Ankara on June 29, 2022, co-chaired by Deputy Foreign Minister and Director for EU Affairs, Ambassador Faruk Kaymakci and State Secretary of the Swedish Foreign Ministry, Ambassador Robert Rydberg,” RIA Novosti reported.

It is specified that within the framework of the consultations, the parties will discuss Turkish-Swedish relations, relations between Turkey and the EU, as well as exchange views on topical regional and international issues.

Earlier, Turkish National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said that Ankara still cannot agree with the entry of Sweden and Finland into NATO.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that Sweden, Finland and Turkey are working on a security agreement that will include arms exports and the fight against terrorism.
