According to CNN, advisers to US leader Joe Biden have begun discussing the possibility of changing the attitude of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky towards what could be called a victory for Kyiv, and allowing for a reduction in state territory.
“Whether Ukraine will be able to regain these territories depends largely, if not entirely, on how we support them,” an aide to one of the US congressmen, speaking on condition of anonymity, said in an interview with the TV channel.
According to him, Ukraine requested at least 48 MLRS from the United States, but the Ministry of Defense promised to provide Kyiv with only eight such systems.
Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov previously noted that the irresponsible pumping of weapons into Kyiv increases the threat of further escalation with unpredictable consequences.
Former member of the US Congress Tulsi Gabbard, in an article for Foreign Policy magazine, said that the Ukrainian authorities will have to agree to negotiations with Russia.
