“Thus, recruits who arrived to resupply the 97th battalion of the 60th infantry brigade were subjected to mortar fire from their colleagues,” the ministry said.
Also, the Ministry of Defense said that in the 28th mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, foreign mercenaries opened fire on the reconnaissance group of this unit.
As a result of the incident, four Ukrainian soldiers were killed and three were injured.
Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that on June 26, two groups of mercenaries were destroyed near the Lisichansk Oil Refinery in the LPR.
One of the groups included mercenaries from Georgia, who were part of the so-called Georgian Legion.
