When is Hajj obligatory for a woman?

She is obligated to perform Hajj while she is healthy and has enough money for her Hajj expenses.

Women and men are equal in the obligation of Hajj, which is obligatory for a sane, adult, free and able Muslim.

What is the ruling on a woman performing Hajj without the permission of her guardian or husband?

The obligatory Hajj does not require the husband’s permission for the able

woman, but she must perform Hajj even if her husband prevents her, who does not have the right to prevent her from performing the Hajj for the first time, because God Almighty says:

A woman does not travel except with a mahram.”

The legal description of a mahram is anyone who is permanently forbidden by a woman, by kinship, breastfeeding, or affinity, and it is a condition for the obligation of Hajj for a woman.

However, some jurists permitted her to go out for Hajj, if she had safe companionship, and she was of an advanced age, with no fear of sedition.

Is it permissible for a menstruating woman to seek between Safa and Marwa?

It was reported that Mrs. Aisha entered Ihram for Umrah and menstruated, so the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, entered her crying, and said to her: “

Do you perform Hajj and do what a pilgrim does, except that you do not circumambulate the house and do not pray

?” Accordingly, a menstruating woman can run between Safa and Marwah.

Is it permissible for a woman to take medicines that delay her period in order to perform Hajj without menstruating?

A group of scholars issued a fatwa permitting this, including the fatwa of the scholar Professor Dr. Yusuf al-Qaradawi that there is nothing wrong with a woman taking pills to prevent menstruation to delay her period during the days of Hajj, so that she can circumambulate with people and not be disrupted by the rituals of Hajj.
