North Korea, in the presence of General Secretary Kim Jong-un, held an expansion meeting of the Workers' Party of Korea's secretariat and announced that it would reorganize the party's central committee.

Following last week's decision to reorganize the military, it appears to be aimed at further strengthening internal controls.

North Korea's state-run Korean Central Television broadcast on the 28th that the Workers' Party of Korea's Secretariat Expansion Conference was held on the 27th with the attendance of General Secretary Kim Jung-eun.

At the meeting, it was announced that some departments of the party's central committee, headed by General Secretary Kim, would be reorganized and that guidance to the judiciary and the prosecution would be strengthened.

In addition, General Secretary Kim said, "I made important conclusions about the mission and issues of the party's central committee," but did not disclose the specific details.

General Secretary Kim has a history of severely rebuking North Korea for being "incompetent and irresponsible" over the response of party executives to the succession of fever caused by the new corona.

North Korea has just decided to reorganize its army at the party's Central Military Commission's expansion meeting held last week, and is internally working to further strengthen its military power and to promote measures against the new corona and rebuilding the economy in parallel. It seems that the aim is to further strengthen control.
