When you look at the faces of the G-7 heads of government, standing in the sun in front of Schloss Elmau and even joking, you wonder if they are having a photo op in the real here and now or are they starring in some satire.

United in unity are they;

the Russian army is still killing in Ukraine, Putin is supplying missiles to Belarus and shelling Ukraine from all sides, the “heavy weapons” from the West are late and the sanctions – maybe affecting Russia, but they are definitely affecting us .

The European Union has also resorted to sanctions, taking the media into account: the Russian state broadcasters RT and Sputnik were banned at the beginning of March, followed on June 3 by a sanctions ordinance against the programs Rossija 1/RTR Planeta and Rossija 24, which are based on the appeal to the domestic Russian audience, but can be received anywhere in the world via satellite and the Internet.

War propaganda even before the attack

On June 25, the decree came into force and on that day, the French operator Eutelsat removed the channels from its satellites.

The Wiesbaden-based provider of Internet television, Kartina TV, removed a third Russian program from its range, TV Center/TVCi/TVC.

Kartina TV has a wide range, including numerous Eastern European channels, including the Russian ones, which were already doing war propaganda in Ukraine before the start of the genocidal war of annihilation.

Kartina TV was criticized for this, like all those who broadcast Russian channels.

However, the company has always observed the legal situation, as the Hessian State Authority for Private Broadcasting, which is responsible for legal supervision (which is currently excluded as an instance due to the economic sanctions), confirmed in an interview.

Say "No to war!", Andreas Reich, the boss of Kartina TV, writes on the broadcaster's website. It is a German company that acts according to German law, an "IP TV operator and not a content producer".

You don't want to "act as a censor who forbids or decides what users are allowed to see and what not" and ask for your understanding.

They have a free Ukraine program package and are involved in humanitarian aid for the country.

Kartina TV also brought Russian television, until now.

Things are different for the satellite provider Eutelsat, which is focusing on business in Russia: the company has taken Rossija 1/RTR Planeta and Rossija 24 off the satellite.

However, there is no answer to the question of whether the cooperation with the Russian pay-TV providers NTV-Plus and Tricolor, which have propaganda in their luggage about what Russian imperialism needs, will be ended.

The Diderot Committee, which was set up against the war propaganda and which was mentioned here, must continue.
