Ministry of Internal Affairs of the LPR: 12 foreign mercenaries were detained near Lisichansk

He told TASS about this.

“Caught, in my opinion, 12 people near Lisichansk of different nationalities, different countries.

In the near future I will tell you exactly how many of them and what countries these mercenaries come from.

They also took part in (combat operations. - RT ) in Rubizhne, in the same way in Severodonetsk.

And in Lisichansk, they were finally caught, ”the source of the agency explained.

Kiselyov also spoke about future plans for the detainees.

According to him, investigative actions will be carried out with them to identify signs of the crimes they have committed.

In addition, the representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs stated that foreign mercenaries would not have the status of prisoners of war. 

Earlier, Assistant Minister of the Interior of the Luhansk People's Republic Vitaly Kiselyov said that the military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and foreign mercenaries still have the opportunity to escape from Lisichansk in small groups.
