The Kremlin ruled on Tuesday June 28 that its offensive in Ukraine would end when the authorities and the Ukrainian army have capitulated.

For his part, Volodymyr Zelensky demanded the recognition of Russia as being a “State sponsor of terrorism” the day after a Russian attack that killed more than twenty people.

“

The Ukrainian side can end the conflict within a day.

Nationalist units must be ordered to lay down their arms, Ukrainian soldiers must be ordered to lay down their arms and all the conditions set by Russia must be implemented.

Then it will all be over in one day

,” Vladimir Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.

According to him, no deadline or timetable has been set on the Russian side: “

We are orienting ourselves in relation to the declarations of our president.

»

Dmitri Peskov once again assured that "the

special military operation was going according to plan

", using the euphemism of rigor in Russia to speak of the assault on Ukraine.

He was reacting to comments attributed to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky before the G7 Heads of State and Government calling on them “

to do their utmost

” to put an end to the conflict which is ravaging his country before the end of the year.

Russia, a “state sponsor of terrorism”

Ukrainian President

Volodymyr Zelensky

also demanded on Tuesday that Russia be recognized as a "

State sponsor of terrorism

", the day after a Russian strike on a shopping center that killed "

more than 20 people

 ", according to Kiev.

“

Only crazy terrorists, who should have no place on Earth, can send missiles to civilian targets

,” Volodymyr Zelensky wrote on Telegram.

“

And these are not off-target missile strikes in kindergartens, schools, shopping malls, apartment buildings, these are calculated strikes by the invaders

 ,” he continued.

“

Russia must be recognized as a state sponsor of terrorism.

The world can and therefore must stop Russian terror

 ,” the Ukrainian president concluded.

At a press briefing, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Kiril Tymoshenko said the death toll from the strike on the

Kremenchuk

shopping center now stands at "

more than 20 dead

" and more than 40 missing.

Interior Minister Denys Monastyrsky said that some bodies cannot be identified because they are badly burned.

“

Identifying them can take a few days

 ,” he said.

Since the military offensive led by Russia against Ukraine on February 24, the fighting has been deadly in the east of the country and Russian progress has been slow.

Peace talks have been stalled for weeks, with each side blaming the other.
