Egyptian singer Hani Shaker (the Syndicate of Musical Professions) announced his irrevocable resignation.

And in a telephone interview yesterday on the program “The Story” of broadcaster Amr Adib, Shaker expressed his great sadness and shock at what happened at the Syndicate of Musical Professions meeting today, because he used to “respect the young before the old” and expect “exchange of respect” and that there is an appreciation for his presence, especially since he loves everyone.

He added that as a result of his circumstances, a decision was taken to resolve the crisis of singer Hassan Shakoush by obtaining a "Carneh" to practice singing before the apology conference that was held yesterday.

Then Shakoush apologized to the union, the captain, the public everywhere, and the rhythm division, and the conference ended, but he was then surprised by a violent verbal altercation.

Shaker added that he decided to announce through the program his resignation, and said, "I announce my resignation after a trip to the Syndicate of Musical Professions and sitting on the chair that every artist is honored with. The General Assembly will choose the best.” He concluded by saying that this decision is final and irreversible.

Frequent apologies to Hammer

During the episode, Shakoush - who was a guest on the program - spoke and said that with this decision, the union lost great value and stature not only in Egypt but in the Arab world, and that the artist Hani Shaker was busy both with following up his health condition, and also reviving parties in Saudi Arabia and Lebanon, and he preferred not to disrupt Shakoush about the work he had contracted for, and asked to be granted a permit to practice singing, and then the conference would be held after the captain’s return to solve the crisis.

Shakoush added that the objection of the musician "Saeed Al-Artest" that caused the crisis was because Shakoush obtained the carnet before the apology, although he had already apologized more than once and did not mind apologizing at the conference, he said.

Crisis Conference

Yesterday, the Syndicate of Musical Professions held a meeting at a press conference, during which Shakoush apologized, but an argument erupted between the chief percussionist “Artist” and Shaker during the conference, because the former refused to receive the “Syndicate Carnet” before the apology, and the captain replied, “They asked me.” I am traveling outside Egypt, and I and all the union members agreed.”

Singer Nadia Mustafa (a member of the Syndicate's board of directors) commented on the crisis that the artist Hani Shaker was refusing to return Shakoush to the union at first, but later agreed, while the "Artist" insisted on his position and objected to the granting of Shakoush the carnet, and the verbal altercation and exchange of accusations began between the "Artist". And the Syndicate Council, Shaker withdrew from the conference, and then Shakoush.

wide controversy

Shaker's submission of his resignation sparked widespread controversy on social media.

Art critic Tariq El-Shennawy wrote on his personal Facebook page, "What happened in the Musicians' Syndicate was expected... randomness dominated the union's decisions and personalization was the title, so they should have turned against each other and exchanged beatings with chairs, Hani's submission of his resignation to escape from responsibility, because he With his illogical stances, he spoiled everything and, as usual, found nothing but escape from the field, and it was not the first time he submitted his resignation. security agencies."

As for the singer Mahmoud Al-Tohamy, he wrote, "The artist Hani Shaker, I was hoping to sue you while you are the captain of the musicians. The knight does not face his opponent while he is off his horse. I wish he would complete this quarrel while you are the captain of the musicians. I appreciate you as a great artist far from the union. The Syndicate of Musical Professions and my right has not yet returned, and I will obtain it from the General Secretary of the Syndicate and the Aswan Labor Committee, and everyone who has been tempted to harm my name and my family’s name by law.”

The beginning of the crisis

And last year, the Syndicate of Musical Professions issued a decision to stop festivals singer Shakoush from practicing singing or participating in reviving concerts in Egypt, and to withdraw his licenses permanently, against the background of a dispute that broke out between him and the popular singer Reda El Bahrawy.

Shaker said at the time, “The decision was due to the mistake that Shakoush made on the stage, as he presented inappropriate song lyrics in response to his colleague, Reda El Bahrawy,” which Shaker considered an insult to a large sector in the musical community, and then the union announced at the time that El Bahrawy was suspended for two months and that Shakoush was banned for an indefinite period. named.

The crisis increased after Shakoush also spoke inappropriately about the musicians, as a complaint was issued that included the signatures of more than 200 percussionists who rejected what Shakush said, including "Artist".

During his sentence, Shakoush tried to apologize more than once for what he had done, after he was deprived of reviving concerts in Egypt, while he participated in reviving concerts in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and some Arab countries only, and during the past month he initiated again reconciliation and found a response from the union.
