Democratic Party lawmaker Lee Jae-myung, who was elected in the June 1 by-election, is preparing to introduce the so-called 'Privatization Prevention Act', the first bill as the 21st National Assembly member.



As a result of SBS coverage, it was confirmed as a result of SBS coverage that Rep. Lee sent a letter of cooperation to several lawmakers in the Democratic Party today (28th) to propose a bill.



The bill that Rep. Lee is preparing is the 'Partial Amendment to the Act on the Management of Public Institutions'. The key is to obtain a report and consent procedure from the National Assembly Standing Committee in advance when exercising the shareholder right of the stock held or selling the stock.



Regarding the reason for proposing the bill, Assemblyman Lee said, "Essential energy such as electricity, water and gas and transportation such as airports and railroads are essential goods that all citizens need. do,” he said.



"In the case of privatization of public institutions, which has been recently discussed from a neoliberal point of view, it is necessary to go through sufficient discussion in the National Assembly, which is the representative of the people as well as the government," he said.
