Ukraine resists in Lisichansk while the Russian Army sets its sights on Sloviansk
According to the Ukrainian command, Russian troops are increasing pressure in the Sloviansk area, but their attacks have been repelled in several locations.
"We observe a concentration of troops, armor and artillery in the direction of Sloviansk," said the head of the military administration of the Donetsk region, Pavlo Kirilenko, in statements to Ukrainian television.
According to Kirilenko, the Russian forces try to approach the Ukrainian defense lines to use, in addition to planes and missiles, their artillery to shell the city.
"The Russians do not change their tactics. We have already seen what happened in Mariupol and Severodonetsk, so in Sloviansk we are preparing for any development of events," the regional leader said.
