Pasechnik for the first time posthumously awarded the title of Hero of the Lugansk People's Republic

Pasechnik added that in addition to conferring the title, he presented the Gold Star medal. 

“The award of the commander of the reconnaissance platoon of the motorized rifle battalion of the fourth separate motorized rifle brigade of the People’s Militia of the LPR, Mikhail Chernukho, was received by his wife,” the head of the LPR wrote in his Telegram channel.

Two more officers - Lieutenant Colonel Denis Chernikov and Colonel Evgeny Shatalin - received the title of Hero of the LNR. 

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin awarded the title of Hero of Russia posthumously to the battalion commander of Sparta, Colonel Vladimir Zhoga with the call sign Vokha.
