Falkov said that there is an opinion that if Russia corrects the Bologna system on its territory or speaks out about its advantages and disadvantages, this will cast doubt on the recognition of domestic diplomas abroad.
“It has nothing to do with recognition on the territory of the participating states that signed the Bologna Declaration,” TASS quoted him as saying.
At the end of May, the Ministry of Education and Science announced plans to abandon the Bologna process.
Falkov said that the Bologna system of education in Russia should be treated as a past stage.
The initiative of the Minister of Education and Science of Russia was supported by the State Duma, the Investigative Committee, senators of the Federation Council and a number of other departments and officials.
