This will be the first summer that everyone who drives a jet ski needs a driver's license.

The requirement was introduced on 1 May this year and means that drivers must be able to show that they have completed a driver training with an approved result.

One who has completed the education and can now call herself an approved jet ski driver is Lisa Holmberg from Karlskrona.

- I like to learn new things.

The world gets so much bigger when you also get the sea to navigate, she says.

Both practically and theoretically

It was only two weeks ago that she completed the training, which includes both theoretical and practical parts.

- It was a lot about safety and I am very happy that I took the course.

It's not just about sitting down and driving, so I think it's nice that it's a green check that you have taken the course before you get on the jet ski, says Lisa Holmberg.

Anyone who drives a jet ski without a driver's license can be fined.
