The official in charge of the settlement file in the northern West Bank, Ghassan Daghlas, told "Emirates Today", in an exclusive interview, "The town of Urif is subjected to severe attacks and massive attacks by settlers, due to its proximity to Yitzhar, which confiscates hundreds of dunams of its residents' lands, as it witnesses Violent violations targeting mosques, homes, transportation and transportation, as well as agricultural land and barracks.

Douglas added: “All terrorist attacks and events in the West Bank involve a group of Yitzhar settlers, as they carry out aggressive and insane violations against Palestinian villages and towns, their residents and their property, especially Urif. The quarries and workshops in the rural town are subject to numerous attacks by settlers.”

He points out that the series of settlement violence extends along the road from Urif to Asira al-Qibliya town, south of Nablus, where the lava of attacks affects everything that is Palestinian in that area, especially vehicles traveling along this road, pointing out that Yitzhar Street witnesses weekly attacks. He added, "The settlement security guard targets every farmer, shepherd, or a child and student near the school, by assaulting him, kidnapping him and taking him inside the settlement for several hours, during which he is exposed to harsh, arbitrary practices by the settlers."

These practices were subjected to 15-year-old Abdul Rahman Yusef Kokash. In the afternoon hours of May 15, and on his return from Urif High School to his home in the Al-Safafeer neighborhood in the town, the orphan boy was on a date with a brutal assault that will accompany his memory for a long time, as A Yitzhar security guard surprised him, kidnapped him with his own vehicle, to take him into the settlement he guards.

For 12 continuous hours, Abd al-Rahman was detained inside the settlement, while his hands and feet were tied, and his eyes were blindfolded. During that time, he was subjected to severe psychological torture, as a result of a death threat from a Yitzhar guard.
