President Yoon Seok-yeol will depart tomorrow to attend the NATO summit to be held in Madrid, Spain from the 29th to the 30th.

As the first Korean president to participate, he was invited as an Asia-Pacific partner along with Japan, Australia, and New Zealand.

It is known that President Yoon is focusing on preparing for his 'diplomatic debut' without a separate external schedule today, ahead of his departure.

President Yoon mentioned on the 24th, "Since many European and Asian leaders are coming, we will be able to discuss various current issues in Korea and export-related issues if necessary."

At the same time, it is the position of reaffirming the broad support of the Western camp for the complete denuclearization of North Korea.

Discussions on cooperation with North Korea are also expected to take place at the three-nation summit, which is scheduled for the 29th.

The Korea-U.S.-Japan summit was held on the occasion of the UN General Assembly in September 2017, during the early days of the Moon Jae-in administration.

The South Korea-Japan summit is an uncertain situation.

There seems to be a possibility of dialogue in the form of 'pull aside'.

In this regard, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida met with reporters at the prime minister's residence in Tokyo yesterday and said, "At this point, there are no plans for bilateral talks."

It is known that Ms. Geon-hee Kim will also accompany her to attend the spouse's session on this tour.
