The Democratic Party announced that it would set up a task force to respond to the 'slaughter of a public official in the West Sea'.

"The response to the people's power seems to be too strategically distorting the facts," said Woo Sang-ho, chairman of the Democratic Party's emergency response committee, at a regular press conference at the National Assembly on the morning of the 26th. and announced the TF installation policy.

Rep. Kim Byung-ju, a former army general, will take over as the TF team leader.

Rep. Yoon Geon-young, who served as the head of the Blue House situation office under the Moon Jae-in government, Hwang-hee, pro-Moon-gye, who served as the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and Rep. Kim Byung-gi, who worked at the National Intelligence Service, will also join the task force.

Rep. Yoon also said on Facebook that day, "(the ruling party) puts on an intentional and malicious frame that it failed to fully protect the lives of the people in addition to the 'exploitation of North Korea'."

Chairman Woo introduced “the party members who are well versed in this issue,” and explained, “We will discuss how to deal with this issue with a focus on the task force and devise a response plan.”

Regarding the activities of the People's Power's 'Task Force to Investigate the Case of a Public Official of the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries,' which was led by Rep. Ha Tae-kyung, Chairman Woo said, "I have a feeling that Representative Ha, a senior member of the ruling party, is using this issue as a personal item." "It doesn't look good to be politically active because I'm so excited about this kind of thing," he criticized.

Regarding Assemblyman Ha's proposal to create a special committee at the National Assembly level to reveal the truth of the case, he asked, "Have you ever created a special committee on specific political and security issues?" and said, "Let's create a special committee on issues in which opposition lawmakers have no choice but to raise their voices and fight. "The proposal doesn't seem rational. Personally, it's negative," he said.

Regarding the proposal to the ruling party to disclose the data at the time of the incident, he said, "I thought 'I have to respond' when I saw that (the Moon Jae-in administration) was being driven into a regime that fabricated facts. The principled position is that the ruling party can disclose any data if they do,” he said.

Regarding the interview with the family of the murdered public official scheduled for tomorrow, he said, "We are meeting to listen to what the other person has to say," he said.

Chairman Woo added, "What is the crime of the family? They can't believe that their family has fled North Korea."
