On the night of Friday to Saturday, shortly before midnight, a man was targeted by shots on the side of the Edgard-Varèse path, in the Reynerie district, in Toulouse.
The latter was at a place known to be a deal point when he received a bullet, the perpetrators of the shot having fled.
Supported by the police who arrived first on the scene, then by the emergency services, he died of his injuries.
An investigation was opened for "murder in an organized gang" by the Toulouse prosecutor's office and was entrusted to the regional judicial police service.
The victim, aged 27, was known to the police, according to a police source.
