French couple Alexis Jandard and Jules Bouyer took fifth place with a score of 375.54 after six dives.
Wang had already won the Olympic title in synchronized diving in Tokyo in the summer of 2021, at the same height, but with another compatriot, while Cao Yuan had been crowned world champion in 2019, again with another teammate.
