A 50-year-old man, who lives near Nantes, was saved on Saturday by gendarmes when he had just hanged himself in an old building west of the city, according to

The soldiers had been notified by the man's wife.

Indeed, the latter had left a letter to his wife and the GPS coordinates of the place where the gendarmes would find his body.

The wife immediately called the gendarmes when she discovered the letter at the family home.

When the police patrol arrived on the scene, the man was not breathing.

A soldier cut the rope and another carried out the first rescue actions… The 50-year-old regained consciousness a few minutes before the arrival of help.
