In order to further strengthen the organization, leadership and overall coordination of drug safety work, and to carry out in-depth special actions to crack down on crimes endangering drug safety, the State Council has decided to set up a leading group for centralized crackdown and rectification of crimes endangering drug safety (hereinafter referred to as the leading group), as the State Council. The relevant matters are hereby notified as follows:
1. Main Responsibilities
Thoroughly study and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions on strengthening drug safety work, fully implement the relevant decisions and arrangements of the Party Central Committee and the State Council; coordinate and focus on cracking down on crimes that endanger drug safety, research and solve major problems in drug safety work, and deploy Promote key tasks; supervise and inspect the implementation of relevant laws and regulations on drug safety and major policies and measures; supervise the handling of major cases of violations and crimes that endanger drug safety; summarize and popularize drug safety work experience; complete other matters assigned by the Party Central Committee and the State Council.

3. Other matters
(1) The office of the leading group is located in the State Food and Drug Administration, undertakes the daily work of the leading group, reports the work situation to the leading group in a timely manner, puts forward work suggestions, supervises and inspects the implementation of the matters decided by the leading group meeting; organizes local crackdowns and rectifications that endanger drug safety Supervision and inspection of illegal and criminal work; organize and carry out the publicity of the results of special actions; undertake other matters assigned by the leading group.
The director of the office is concurrently held by Xu Jinghe, deputy director of the State Food and Drug Administration, and the members of the office are the responsible comrades of the relevant departments and bureaus of the leading group member units.
If the members of the leading group need to be adjusted due to work changes, the unit they work for shall submit the proposal to the office of the leading group, and report to the leader of the leading group for approval according to the procedures.
(2) The leading group implements a working meeting system. The working meeting is convened by the team leader or the deputy team leader entrusted by it. It is held regularly or irregularly according to the needs of the work. The participants are members of the leading team. If necessary, other relevant departments may be invited to participate.
(3) The local people's governments at or above the county level shall establish a work mechanism for the centralized crackdown on the rectification of crimes that endanger drug safety in their respective regions, and coordinate the promotion of the work of cracking down on the rectification of crimes endangering drug safety in their respective regions.
