“It’s very hot in Brussels right now about transit to Kaliningrad, and it looks like Russia is winning so far,” he said in his social networks, RIA Novosti quoted the politician as saying.

A series of meetings were held in the EU structures to discuss the transportation of goods from the main territory of Russia to Kaliningrad, he said.

At the same time, “one of the EU member states” demanded to review the regulation of the implementation of sanctions, the deputy noted.

So far, the EU has not reached an agreement, although during the meeting the officials presented a document that allows goods to be transported through the territory of the European Union “from Russia to Russia”.

“This information was brought to Lithuania, which is not mentioned in the document, but by default it is clear that it will affect Lithuania,” Auštrevičius said.

On June 17, the Lithuanian Railways company notified the Kaliningrad Railways about the termination of the transit of a number of sanctioned goods.

The region's governor, Anton Alikhanov, said that the EU could give the Lithuanian authorities new clarifications so that they "do not apply restrictions on the first four packages for Kaliningrad transit."
