The idea for the path comes from Birgitta Westlund, who works non-profit for the association.
- I discovered that there were milestones here and then I got the idea to make them visible and do something on the homestead so that everyone can see them.
Then the idea arose that one might aim for an experience trail and be allowed to walk around the homestead and then on the outskirts of the farm where no one usually walks, she says.
Heath old parish villages are found along the steps
The milestones show how far one has gone in reality and are used between the villages that are along the experience trail.
- There are seven villages in Hede old parish and they are Hedeviken, Hede, Särvsjön, Långå, Medskogen and Råndalen.

Despite the pandemic in recent years, Hede hembygdsgård has had many visitors and more new members.
- Many have searched for their roots and come here looking for their relatives.
Many have vacationed in Sweden instead of going abroad, says Barbro Nässelqvist, chairman of Hede hembygdsgård.
