Putin linked the rise in inflation with the irresponsible policies of the G7 countries

Putin said this during a meeting in the BRICS Plus format.

He noted that this is not the result of recent months, and even more so not a consequence of Russia's special military operation to protect Donbass.

“I want to emphasize again: the sharp increase in inflation did not happen yesterday, it is the result of several years, it was the result of many years and, I emphasize, the irresponsible macroeconomic policy of the G7 countries,” he said. 

The Russian president also said that some countries are trying to replace the global architecture with "invented rules."
