It was in early June that the events took place.

According to the indictment, the man in his 30s has exposed a total of three women to various sexual crimes in a short time.

- As I understand it, none of the women should have any relationship with the man, but it seems to have happened very randomly over the course of half an hour or so, says Andreas Nyberg, prosecutor.

"I will follow you"

At 21 o'clock in the evening, one of the women came across the man who shouted something like: "I will take you, I will follow you, hold her and I will come after you".

Another woman was exposed both verbally and physically when the suspected perpetrator tried to drag her into a home.

Even then, the man came with threatening words that she would "go with him".

Rape was stopped

A third woman met the man in a stairwell.

According to the woman, the man was naked on the lower body.

She tried to run from the scene, but was pulled down and assaulted on the ground.

A witness who saw the incident intervene.

- If the witness had not intervened, there would have been a completed rape, thanks to the witness, the abuse could have been stopped, says Andreas Nyberg.

Prosecuted for several crimes

The man was arrested the same day by police.

He is now charged with attempted rape and two cases of sexual harassment, in addition to this he is also charged with minor drug offenses.

The man admits to minor drug offenses but denies the other offenses.

The trial will be held in Lycksele District Court between 6 and 7 July.

- I judge the state of evidence as good and expect a conviction, says Andreas Nyberg.
