Until the beginning of August, the park behind Teknikens hus in Luleå will be filled with newly built huts that can be visited by the public.

Business developer Josefin Wäppling Bernádzon says that the park will function both as a construction site for the colloquium participants - and as an exhibition for visitors and a playground for curious children.

"Construction workers of the future"

One of the purposes is to create a supply of skills for the construction industry.

- These are the construction workers of the future.

You have to start early, says Josefin Wäppling Bernádzon.

Gender equality purpose behind the hut

Byggkollo has previously been arranged in other parts of the country.

Now it is being arranged for the first time in Luleå.

Previously, package participants have been allowed to build box cars, but in Luleå it is huts that apply.

- We sat together and thought about what we could build to attract both girls and boys to get an even distribution.

Then we landed in huts, says Josefin Wäppling Bernádzon.

The business developer thinks that the huts have been effective for the gender distribution, there are more girls than boys who have participated.

Kollot is organized by Teknikens hus in Luleå in collaboration with Byggföretagen Norrbotten and Norrbottens Byggmästareförening.

This is what the children think: "Should become an inventor"

What do the children think then, is it something they want to work with in the future?

- Yes actually.

The world's most fun job, says Alma Johansson.

- No, I have already decided what I will work as.

They are inventors, says Ludwig Eide.

Bianca Jakobsson is divided but does not close any doors.

- I know who does not.

I could work with this, it's quite fun anyway, to build this little house and to help with others, she says.

In the clip, you see the children show off their builds.
