"How are we going to support a change in which the

government

seems to no longer be interested in negotiating the General Council of the Judiciary (CGPJ) but rather what is interested in controlling the Constitutional Court?"

The president of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has considered this Friday as "broken" the "bridges" to "continue negotiating" with the PSOE to renew the General Council of the Judiciary, after the Executive has announced a new legal change to allow the Council to appoint the two magistrates of the TC that correspond to it.

Today, the four TC magistrates whose mandate has expired cannot be appointed, precisely because of both the blockade of the renewal of the CGPJ and the previous legal reform of the Socialists and United We Can, approved urgently to prevent a Council with a conservative majority could make appointments when it was in office.

"How are we going to announce a change that we were negotiating, if we find out through the media that, in full talks, the Government is going to unilaterally modify the powers of the CGPJ," Feijóo insisted in an interview with

El Ana Rosa program

.

Visibly upset, the PP president asked the presenter: "Do you think you can negotiate with someone who not only has no respect for negotiation, but also breaks any kind of bridge to continue conversations and continue negotiating?" .

According to Feijóo's account, negotiations were already under way, but the truth is that Genoa had transferred to the media the conversations between the deputy secretary of the

Popular

Party for Institutions , Esteban González Pons, and the Minister of the Presidency, Félix Bolaños, were not going to officially begin until Feijóo sends Sánchez a written proposal for the renewal, regeneration and depoliticization of Justice.

The PP had given itself until July 13, but the reform to change the internal functioning of the CGPJ that the PSOE is going to propose has completely changed its schemes.
