Shireen Abu Akleh was indeed killed by the Israeli army, according to the United Nations.
The Palestinian-American journalist, star reporter for Al Jazeera television, was shot in the head.
It was on May 11, when she was covering an operation by the Israeli security forces in the occupied West Bank.

The Jewish State rejects the responsibility
On May 11, in the hour following the tragedy: the Jewish state begins by rejecting all responsibility.
Claiming that it was indiscriminate fire from Palestinian armed groups that hit the journalist.
A few days later, the Israelis change their version.
They are no longer so categorical.
They no longer rule out that one of their soldiers could be at the origin of the shooting.
But Israel remains straight in its boots and blames the Palestinians, who decline its offer to participate in joint investigations.
The Israeli army claims the bullet that killed Shireen Abu Akleh, to determine the origin of the shot.
The Palestinians are asking Israel for the weapon that killed her.
