State Duma deputy Saigidpasha Umakhanov told RT that he intends to reward Arslanbek Aliyev and Magomedshapi Hajiyev, who pulled the victims out of a burning car in Moscow.

“He and Arslanbek didn’t even know each other, both wrestlers, that’s how they met after the accident.

I will meet with them tonight to reward them,” said Umakhanov, who represents Dagestan in the lower house of parliament.

“The wrestling school of Khasavyurt instills courage and mutual assistance in students.”

In turn, the head of the Ministry of Sports of Dagestan, Sazhid Sazhidov, also spoke about plans to present Aliyev, who is the head coach of the republic's youth freestyle wrestling team, for the award.

“Today Arslanbek is not only a good coach, but also a real hero.

And such actions cannot be ignored, this is an example for all of us.

I have already awarded Arslanbek for his achievements in sports and the achievements of his pupils, and now he will be presented with an award for personal qualities,” Sazhidov told RIA Novosti.

car without number plate

The accident happened early in the morning on June 24 on Zubovsky Boulevard.

A black premium Mercedes without license plates at high speed tried to cross the Garden Ring at a red traffic light.

However, the driver lost control, flew onto the sidewalk and crashed into a building.

Immediately after that, the car caught fire.

Eight people were in the car at the time of the accident.

Two of them, the driver and the passenger sitting in the front seat, were killed.

Their identities are established.

20-year-old David Don, 18-year-old Anastasia Griva, 23-year-old Anzor Kubanov, 19-year-old Veronika Naibrina, 22-year-old Shamil Khadzhiev and another victim were taken to the hospital.

According to media reports, the company celebrated the birthday of one of the girls that night.

According to the 112 Telegram channel, the deceased driver bought a Mercedes from former professional football player Rasim Khutov just a few days ago.

Moreover, Hutov did not manage to receive money for the car - the buyer promised to pay off in a few days, wrote a receipt and left on the purchased car.

The fact that the car got into an accident, Khutov was informed by police officers.

Luckily, Arslanbek Aliyev and Magomedshapi Hajiyev were eyewitnesses of the accident.

It was they who rushed to save the passengers of the foreign car, having managed to pull them alive from the burning car.

Aliyev told RT that at the time of the accident he was on the veranda of a cafe nearby.

“They didn’t let us in, but we didn’t listen to them”

- Tell me how it all happened?

How did you get to the scene of the accident?

— I was nearby because I live 100 meters from the scene of the accident.

I came to Moscow with my family for literally two days to show my daughter to an ophthalmologist.

Yesterday we went to the doctor, then took a walk.

My friends called me and offered to take a walk around the city center at night.

About half past four in the morning, when dawn broke, they gave me a ride home.

Under the windows we have a cafe - they had a veranda open until four in the morning.

I sat down at a table and ordered juice.

Some Arabs were sitting at a table nearby.

And at 03:37 everything happened right in front of our eyes.

The car was driving at high speed without license plates, the driver ran a red light.

And there was a traffic police car parked on the corner.

Probably, the driver was distracted by it and flew into the wall without braking.

The car flared up, the flame was 6 m up at once - and it reached into the salon.

Did you immediately run to help?

- Yes.

Me and the guys from the next table.

How did the police behave?

-

The traffic police inspectors did not directly help to save - I think they had some kind of instruction of their own, in order to protect the accident site from people first of all.

Observers immediately gathered there.

The car was on fire and they didn't let us near it.

The police told everyone to move away for safety reasons, but we did not listen to them - we broke through.

Otherwise, there would have been not two charred bodies, but eight.

- You are a real hero.

The

other guys did even more.

We all worked together.

There were five or six of us.

We were the first to run up, started some work.

We did not have any professional qualities and skills of rescuers, fire extinguishers, otherwise they could have saved the front ones.

The two in front were pressed very hard against the dashboard.

We broke down the doors and got people out.

Behind the girls, two were pulled out in a serious condition.

One of the guys was conscious and could speak.

I took the phone from him, called my relatives and told them to come.

Is it the first time you save someone?

Yes, this is the first time I've encountered this.

A person is lost in such a situation.

You don't understand what to do.

Everything flared up so quickly.

But in the end they managed.

We made every effort to help people, we fulfilled our civic duty.

The man told RT that he was driving - he was standing at a traffic light when the accident happened.

“I was at work delivering groceries.

I stood at a traffic light, waited for a green signal, and at that moment everything happened.

Ran to help.

By that time, the car doors had already been broken, the glass had been smashed.

He helped pull people out - they were unconscious, ”says Gadzhiev.
