The World Health Network has declared monkeypox a pandemic.

This was reported in a press release on the organization's website.

According to the WHA, there are currently 3,417 confirmed cases of monkeypox in 58 countries around the world.

Hans Kluge, WHO Regional Director for Europe, said earlier that Europe continues to be the epicenter of the monkeypox outbreak.
