It is reported by RIA Novosti.

“The US Department of Commerce has determined that UAN from the Russian Federation is being sold or likely to be sold to the United States at reduced export prices,” reads a draft document that is scheduled to be posted on the US Government Executive Orders Portal.

The Ministry of Trade came to this conclusion based on an analysis of deliveries from April 2020 to March 2021, the agency writes.

“We will instruct the Customs Service to require a cash deposit equal to the sum of the difference between the export price and the price in the United States,” the document says.

At the end of March, the Office of Foreign Assets Control of the US Treasury published a new general license, which actually removed Russian mineral fertilizers from possible sanctions - they were included in the list of vital products.

Assistant to the President of Russia for Economic Affairs Maxim Oreshkin, in an interview with RT, expressed the opinion that the mistakes of the West with excessive investments in renewable sources "raised energy prices", which led to an increase in prices for fertilizers and a decrease in their production, and this, in turn, affected the yield.
