This was stated by the official representative of the City Court of Prague, Adam Vening.

“The Supreme Court in Prague does not see the possibility of extraditing Russian citizen Alexander Franchetti to Ukraine, since against the backdrop of the ongoing military conflict there is a real risk of violations of his human rights,” TASS quoted him as saying.

In September 2021, the Prague City Court placed Franchetti in custody.

He was detained at the airport of the Czech capital at the request of the Ukrainian authorities.

The Russian wrote a letter to Czech President Milos Zeman.

In the message, he stated that the Ukrainian authorities groundlessly accuse him of "participation in illegal armed groups" during the events of the "Crimean spring", namely, the self-defense of Crimea and the defense of Sevastopol.
