China News Agency, Beijing, June 24 (Xie Yanbing and Liang Xiaohui) The 14th BRICS Leaders' Meeting was held by video on the evening of the 23rd.

Even if it is a "meeting in the cloud", as the host, China still shows courtesy to guests from all over the world in terms of concierge details, showing full sincerity.

The Beijing venue for the meeting is located in the East Hall of the Great Hall of the People.

According to Hong Lei, Director-General of the Protocol Department of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the layout of the venue is grand and warm, reflecting solidarity and cooperation.

In front of the rostrum, a flowerbed composed of multi-colored flowers is arranged, and the logo of the BRICS meeting - five-color sails is inlaid in the middle, symbolizing that the five BRICS countries are in the same boat, riding the wind and waves, and sailing towards a bright future.

On both sides of the meeting theme background board, there are five sets of BRICS flags, which symbolize the BRICS countries' watch and help, unity and cooperation.

At the beginning of the meeting, a "cloud group photo" of the leaders of the five BRICS countries was shown on the big screen, showing solidarity and leading the BRICS countries to practice genuine multilateralism, safeguard international fairness and justice, and promote global common development.

It is known that the "cloud group photo" is the first of this meeting.

"The concierge supplies for this BRICS meeting also highlight our country's host country status and warm and friendly attitude." Hong Lei said that the Chinese side had already sent gift boxes of concierge supplies to the leaders of the participating countries before the start of the meeting.

It includes the emblem of the golden bricks, the carved Chinese rosewood cardboard that embodies Chinese characteristics, and the blue and white enamel teacup that also embodies Chinese characteristics.

It is particularly worth mentioning that the Chinese side has also placed China's "Top Scholar in Tea" - Dahongpao black tea, so that foreign leaders can "drink a cup of Chinese tea at the end of the world" when they meet.

As a "state of etiquette", China always treats guests with tea, and "tea ceremony" frequently appears in various important diplomatic occasions.

In 2018, at the BRICS Summit in Xiamen, five kinds of teas, Dahongpao, Lapsang Souchong, Tieguanyin, white tea and jasmine tea, were also presented as national gifts to the leaders of the participating countries.

This year, in the venue and off the screen, accompanied by the fragrance of tea, a word "harmony" spans time and space and crosses national borders, showing the traditional Chinese hospitality and conveying the BRICS cooperation.

"We hope that at such a cloud gathering, leaders of various countries can still feel the enthusiasm of the Chinese host," said Hong Lei.
