The company's 40-page report on alleged Russian disinformation and cyberattacks says that a significant increase in traffic has been observed since January 2022, peaking on February 24, when the increase was 82%.

The document notes that, despite all the measures taken to reduce traffic to the Sputnik and RT websites, the figures are still higher than before the start of the Russian special operation in Ukraine, and are comparable to the traffic of The Wall Street Journal.

In early March, the European Union banned the broadcasting of the Russia Today TV channel and the operation of the Sputnik agency in the community.

Fuad Izadi, a professor of political communication at the University of Tehran, called the blocking of RT in the West a tool of a hybrid war against Russia.
