US far-right politician Newt Gingrich mocked Vice President Kamala Harris' qualifications to become president, while speaking on a Fox News program on Tuesday.
The former House speaker, who was a guest on Primetime, launched a somewhat humiliating and racist attack on the vice president, who is frequently cited as a potential Democratic successor to President Joe Biden.
Gingrich attacked her wit, calling her "crazy enough to please the left".
"She doesn't know anything, she doesn't know how to run things, she's incomprehensible, and she doesn't know what big words mean anyway," he said.
Gingrich previously said that Harris "may be the dumbest person ever elected vice president in American history."
It is worth noting that if Biden does not seek re-election, Harris will be the leading Democratic candidate to replace him by a fairly wide margin, according to a recent poll, but Biden confirmed that he intends to run for re-election, especially if former President Donald Trump runs.
Gingrich described the prospect of Harris becoming president under any circumstances "appalling" and even "terrifying."
Gingrich said she would "be the worst president in American history - I believe - within 30 days" of her assumption of the presidency.
