The alarm came shortly after 3 pm that a man was missing at Våtnäs east of Enånger.

A major sea rescue operation with helicopters and boats was launched.

After a short search, a man was found in the water by the rescue service's surface lifeguard.

- Survivors are personnel with wetsuits, cyclops and snorkels who search the water.

They found him and took him ashore, where medical personnel performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

The man was then taken by helicopter to hospital, says Daniel Holmstrand, emergency officer at the rescue service.

There is currently no information on the man's condition.
