And the Turkish Anadolu Agency reported that the meeting, which took place in the presidential complex in the capital, lasted about two hours, without giving details.

Regarding Iran, the statement stressed the need to support international efforts to prevent it from acquiring a nuclear weapon, and urged it not to interfere in the affairs of Arab countries.

With regard to the crisis in Yemen, the statement affirmed support for efforts to reach a comprehensive political solution.

On the Lebanese issue, the two sides stressed the need to support Lebanon, and to limit arms to the legitimate state institutions.
