Filiponenko noted that small groups of Ukrainian military in Lisichansk are getting in touch, wanting to surrender, but detachments are preventing them. 

Earlier, the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, announced the capture of the city of Lisichansk in the LPR in the near future.

The Ambassador of the Lugansk People's Republic in Russia, Rodion Miroshnik, said that up to 7,000 Ukrainian soldiers are stationed in Lisichansk.
