During his short televised address on Wednesday evening, Emmanuel Macron recognized "the fractures" shown by the legislative elections, after which "we must learn to govern and legislate differently".
The head of state considered that a government of national unity was "not justified to date", while calling for a majority to be found.
The Head of State also confirmed measures on "purchasing power", "climate" and "full employment" this summer.
