On October 22 last year, the police were alerted to an apartment in Vänersborg.

A woman in her 30s was found badly injured on the spot, her life could not be saved.

Early on, the suspicions were directed at the woman's cohabitant, who was arrested a few days after the incident on suspicion of having stabbed her to death.

The man has been in custody since last autumn, and in May this year the prosecution came.

In the police preliminary investigation, it has emerged that the woman wanted to separate from the now convicted man.

It also states that the man must have been afraid that the woman would report him to the authorities for how he took care of the children.

On Wednesday, almost eight months after the incident, the verdict came against the man.

The punishment will be life imprisonment and deportation.

He must also pay damages to the woman's relatives.
