Xinhua News Agency, Geneva, June 22 (Xinhua) -- A representative of China spoke at the 50th session of the UN Human Rights Council on the 22nd during a dialogue with the Special Rapporteur on extrajudicial executions, expressing concern over the issue of extrajudicial executions in the United States.

The representative of China said that there have been numerous incidents of deaths caused by police brutality in the United States.

In the year since the death of George Floyd in police brutality, U.S. law enforcement officers have reportedly killed hundreds of other minorities in the country.

American soldiers wantonly kill unarmed civilians in other countries during overseas military operations, but the perpetrators can go unpunished.

The representative of China urged the Human Rights Council and the Special Rapporteur on extrajudicial executions to continue to pay attention to the issue of violent law enforcement by the US police and the killing of innocent civilians in other countries by US soldiers, and to promote a comprehensive and impartial investigation into the relevant incidents and bring the perpetrators to justice.
