Why can Amineh Kakabaveh make the decision?

The government's extra amending budget contains the compromise proposal on increased guarantee pension that the government agreed with the Center Party, the Green Party and the Left Party.

The same parties, ie S, MP, C and V will vote yes to the budget.

The parties collectively collect 174 seats in the Riksdag.

But another vote is needed, which means that the political savage, Amineh Kakabaveh, is once again making the decision.

Kakabaveh has previously said she will not support the budget unless the government promises not to export arms to Turkey.

Minister of Finance Mikael Damberg stated last week that they are not negotiating with Kakabaveh.

What happens if there is a draw?

If Amineh Kakabaveh casts her vote, the vote could end in a deadlock - which could result in the matter being decided by lottery.

If there is an equal outcome again, the Speaker asks whether the members of the Riksdag want to be asked to be drawn or returned to the Finance Committee.

This is a process that can take about four hours.

If it is then the same for a third time, the issue will be decided by drawing lots, probably on Wednesday evening.

How is the draw?

In a lottery, the Speaker summons three different members of the Riksdag whom he deems suitable.

A jar voice and a no vote are placed in the so-called ballot box on the President's table.
