It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the press service of the court.

The court session is scheduled for June 22 at 14:45 Moscow time.

On June 9, the second cassation court overturned the arrest of Sergei Zuev, rector of the Moscow Higher School of Social and Economic Sciences (Shaninka), and sent the decision for a new trial.

The court noted the November decision of the Moscow City Court, by which Zuev was transferred from house arrest to a pre-trial detention center.

The court considered that the detention in the pre-trial detention center was unlawfully chosen.

Earlier it was reported that Zuev is accused of embezzlement of over 21 million rubles.

According to investigators, in 2018, together with ex-deputy minister of education Marina Rakova and former deputy general director of the Foundation for New Forms of Education Development Yevgeny Zak, he conspired to steal money from the RANEPA.
