Even if the mountainous source which feeds the village is not completely dried up, the mayor has taken this decree to prevent the town "from being left dry", we add to the town hall.

A new catchment, near the initial source, was carried out by the Alpes Azur Mercantour water authority (REAAM).

But if the flow is sufficient, the water analysis results have not yet reached the municipality which cannot therefore authorize its consumption for the moment.

Two bottles per inhabitant per day distributed

In the meantime, the town hall is distributing water, at the rate of two bottles per inhabitant per day "or one pack per family and per day".

In accordance with a prefectural decree, the town hall also issued a second municipal decree which prohibits the watering of lawns or the filling of swimming pools.

At the end of May, the Alpes-Maritimes prefecture, referring to "an exceptional drought situation", extended to the entire department the drought alert triggered in April due to the rainfall deficit.

This prefectural decision entails restrictive measures for farmers and industries and for individuals who are also prohibited from washing cars.

The municipalities must close the fountains, the water games and no longer wash the roads with plenty of water.

Two other levels can still be triggered: the heightened alert level and the crisis level.
