The Mohammed bin Rashid Housing Establishment is implementing six projects comprising 1803 housing and a commercial complex, under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, at a cost of two billion and 282 million dirhams.

The Foundation's Executive Director, Sami Gargash, told "Emirates Today" that the new projects include 397 housing units in the Oud Al Muteena area, a residential complex comprising 464 units in the fourth Muhaisnah area, 346 housing units in the Hatta area, and a residential complex comprising 96 units in the second Al Quoz area. And a commercial complex to serve the residents of Al Barsha South (Al Oula), in addition to a project affiliated to the initiatives of His Highness the President of the State to build 500 homes in the Emirate of Dubai.

He added, "The Corporation is making every effort to provide housing services that meet the requirements of citizens, by achieving pioneering housing initiatives that facilitate their lives, meet their aspirations and desires, and contribute to their happiness."

He pointed out that the 500 housing project, affiliated to the initiatives of His Highness the President of the State, is being implemented by the Foundation in cooperation with the Ministry of Infrastructure Development, pointing to the implementation of the process of building the project units with modern specifications that meet the conditions of sustainability and green buildings.

He added that "the partnership between the Foundation and the initiatives of His Highness, the President of the State, would greatly develop the housing sector in terms of providing appropriate modern housing."

The Senior Director of the Engineering Supervision Department at the Corporation, Eng. Faisal Nasr Al-Din Al-Bolooki, explained that the Corporation has launched the "Unified Models Housing" initiative, which includes five models with different areas and prices, and has contracted with a number of contractors to implement projects for the beneficiaries of housing grants.

He added that the areas of approved residential models vary between 2,700 square feet, 3000 square feet, 3,500 square feet, 4,500 square feet, and 5100 square feet, while prices start from 870,000 dirhams, for the smallest space, up to 1,650,000 dirhams for the largest space, pointing to Diversity between spaces provides citizens with multiple options to choose the most appropriate and best for each beneficiary, in addition to this diversity aims to alleviate the beneficiaries and enhance their happiness since choosing the model, all the way to the final receipt of the housing.

Al-Bolooki indicated that the Foundation opened the way for beneficiaries of housing loans to register in the "Unified Models Housing" initiative, which began last July, and lasted for one month until the experience with the loan holders was evaluated.

He pointed out that the Foundation divided the requests of loan owners registered in the initiative into four groups, according to several considerations, including the social status of the applicant, the number of family members and others, explaining that the first group contained about 20 requests, as they were transferred to an engineering consultant, and the number of applications ended Of them, in agreement with the consultant, to choose the housing models they desire, and the two parties also agreed on the prices required for the completion of housing projects.

He added: “The applications of the second group will begin to be submitted to the consultant next January, while the third group needs support to provide the difference between the value of the loan and the cost of construction, and then the Foundation directed them to a charitable association to provide aid to them, and the requests of the fourth group were postponed to the readiness of the lands for the construction of their homes in The areas they want to build in.
