Putin instructed to provide material assistance to people affected by fires until July 1

This is stated in the decree "On measures to eliminate the consequences of fires in the territories of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the Kemerovo Region - Kuzbass, Irkutsk, Novosibirsk, Omsk and Kurgan Regions."

The highest officials of the listed regions were instructed to ensure the provision of one-time material assistance to citizens affected by fires until July 1.

The measures will affect people who have partially or completely lost essential property.

“The payment of a lump sum benefit to citizens whose health was harmed as a result of fires, taking into account the severity of such harm,” the document says.

On June 15, the President of Russia signed a decree on combating forest fires. 

The government and the heads of the constituent entities were instructed to reduce the area of ​​forest fires on the lands of the forest fund in 2022-2030 by at least 50% compared to the level of 2021.
